Responsibilities
- Perform patient vitals (blood pressure, temperature, weight) and prepare patients for examinations.
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during clinical procedures, including injections and minor surgeries.
- Obtain and process laboratory specimens, including phlebotomy, following strict safety protocols.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) accurately, updating patient history and treatment plans.
- Greet patients, schedule appointments, and handle front-desk administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Certification as a CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required.
- 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first attitude.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
