Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, vitals assessment, and medical history collection with precision.
- Assist providers during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Manage clinical and administrative duties including phlebotomy, EKGs, and medication administration.
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and ensure HIPAA compliance throughout the shift.
- Monitor patient condition overnight, communicating critical updates to the on-call team immediately.
- Ensure the exam rooms and equipment are clean, sanitized, and ready for the next shift.
- Answer patient inquiries and direct traffic in a professional, empathetic manner.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) required.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certification preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting.
- Must be available to work rotating night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation for travel between DC and VA locations.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to patient privacy.
