Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including bathing, dressing, and mobility assistance
- Monitor vital signs and document patient observations accurately
- Assist with medication administration under RN supervision
- Maintain clean, sanitized environments following infection control protocols
- Support patients with nutritional needs and meal assistance
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams for comprehensive patient support
- Respond promptly to patient call lights and emergency situations
Qualifications
- Active California CNA certification required
- Minimum 1 year long-term care experience preferred
- BLS/CPR certification from accredited provider
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods
- Clear TB test and physical examination documentation
- Passionate about geriatric care and patient advocacy
- Flexible schedule availability for weekend shifts
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
