Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist with mobility and transfer patients safely using proper body mechanics and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation.
- Implement infection control and safety protocols to ensure a safe environment.
- Respond promptly to patient needs and emergency situations.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required by the state of Florida.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association) is mandatory.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and standing for extended periods.
