Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative and surgical treatments
- Perform chairside duties such as instrument transfer, suctioning, and four-handed dentistry
- Take and develop accurate dental radiographs (X-rays) following ALARA protocols
- Manage sterilization processes and maintain OSHA/CDC compliance in all areas
- Prepare treatment rooms, materials, and equipment for efficient patient flow
- Deliver exceptional patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Manage digital patient records using Eaglesoft practice management software
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification or DANB-registered status
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a general dental practice
- Proficiency in digital radiography and intraoral imaging
- CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols and HIPAA compliance
- Excellent communication skills and ability to create patient rapport
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with Eaglesoft or similar dental practice management software
