Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Assist with mobility transfers and ambulation using proper techniques
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor vital signs
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with dietary needs
- Perform light housekeeping tasks and maintain client environments
- Transport clients to medical appointments and social activities
- Document care activities and maintain accurate client records
- Report changes in client condition to nursing staff promptly
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional home health aide experience
- Valid New York State HHA certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
- Clear background check and drug screening
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable transportation with valid driver's license
