Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control and medication ordering systems
- Process insurance claims and maintain patient records with HIPAA compliance
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling to patients
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain sterile compounding environments and equipment
- Train new pharmacy staff on protocols and workflows
Qualifications
- Active Washington State Pharmacy Technician certification required
- 1+ years of pharmacy technician experience in retail or hospital setting
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Rx30)
- Strong knowledge of FDA regulations and pharmacy best practices
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in medication handling
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations
- CPR certification preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
