Responsibilities
- Accurately receive, prepare, and dispense prescription medications to patients in a timely manner.
- Assist the Pharmacist in verifying prescriptions, checking for drug interactions, and ensuring accuracy.
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving deliveries, stocking shelves, and processing returns.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding prescription details, insurance coverage, and medication questions.
- Ensure strict compliance with all federal and state laws, including HIPAA privacy regulations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Current Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT) preferred.
- Previous experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting is a plus.
- Strong mathematical skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
