Responsibilities
- Accurately receive, prepare, and dispense prescription medications following strict protocols and physician orders.
- Verify patient information, insurance details, and prescription validity to prevent errors.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering patient questions, explaining medication usage, and handling returns.
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving shipments, stocking shelves, and performing monthly counts.
- Assist in the processing of insurance claims and refill requests.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace in compliance with health and safety standards.
- Collaborate with the pharmacy team to ensure efficient workflow during peak hours.
Qualifications
- Current Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) required by the state of Kentucky.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician preferred (minimum 1 year).
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy software systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid state pharmacy technician license and fingerprint card on file.
- Strong communication skills and a patient-first attitude.
