Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and sterile fields for surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and adhere to infection control protocols
- Handle surgical equipment and instruments with precision and care
- Document surgical cases accurately and maintain equipment inventory
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams for patient safety
- Participate in continuous process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification required
- Minimum 1 year of recent surgical tech experience in a hospital setting
- Knowledge of sterile processing and aseptic techniques
- BLS certification and ability to obtain ACLS within 90 days
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in high-pressure environments
- Excellent communication skills and team collaboration abilities
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
