Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning according to dietary restrictions.
- Provide companionship and emotional support through conversation and shared activities.
- Remind clients to take prescribed medications and monitor for side effects.
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry tasks to maintain a safe living environment.
- Accurately document daily activities and changes in client condition in care logs.
- Transport clients to medical appointments and social outings as needed.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong communication skills and a patient, empathetic demeanor.
- Physical stamina to assist with lifting and mobility.
- Experience in home health or personal care is a plus but not required.
