Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding when necessary.
- Provide medication reminders and monitor clients for any health changes.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of isolation.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundry and vacuuming.
- Help clients with mobility, transfers, and walking exercises.
- Document daily care logs and communicate updates to the care coordinator.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- CPR and First Aid certification is strongly preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Previous experience in home health care or nursing assistance is a plus.
