Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized, evidence-based care plans in accordance with nursing standards.
- Administer medications and treatments with precision, strictly adhering to facility protocols and patient safety guidelines.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, charge nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Document patient care activities, vital signs, and treatment responses accurately and timely in electronic health records.
- Educate patients and families on disease management, medication compliance, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Maintain a sterile environment and ensure all equipment provided is utilized correctly and maintained in good working order.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and critical alarms with appropriate clinical interventions.
Qualifications
- Valid RN License issued by the State of New Jersey (or compact state eligibility).
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of recent clinical experience in a hospital setting (ICU, Med-Surg, or Telemetry preferred).
- Strong Critical Thinking Skills: Ability to make quick, sound clinical decisions under pressure.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Clear verbal and written communication with patients, families, and staff.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift patients or equipment as required.
- Computer Literacy: Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
