Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by arranging sterile instruments and equipment before surgery.
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and sterile supplies.
- Maintain sterile field and monitor patient vitals throughout the operation.
- Count sponges, needles, and instruments before and after procedures to ensure zero loss.
- Transport patients to and from the operating suite safely.
- Clean and sterilize surgical instruments using autoclaves or chemical solutions.
- Document surgical procedures and patient care accurately.
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technician (CST) or certification eligibility required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a surgical or clinical setting.
- Strong knowledge of surgical asepsis, sterilization techniques, and anatomy.
- Excellent manual dexterity and ability to stand for extended periods.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively under pressure.
