Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Prepare patients for examinations, assist the dentist during procedures, and ensure patient comfort throughout the visit.
- Infection Control: Strictly adhere to OSHA and CDC sterilization protocols to ensure a safe environment.
- Diagnostics: Take and develop high-quality digital X-rays, impressions, and model casts.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate patient records and update treatment histories in our digital systems.
- Administrative Support: Handle front desk duties including scheduling appointments and assisting with insurance billing.
- Education: Provide post-operative instructions to patients and answer general dental hygiene questions.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Dental Assisting certification (DANB) is highly preferred.
- Licensing: Current Nevada State Dental Assistant license or eligibility to obtain one.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a dental office setting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) and radiology equipment.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a warm, welcoming demeanor.
- Certifications: Current BLS/CPR certification is mandatory.
