Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist nurses with medical procedures, wound care, and patient transfers using proper body mechanics and safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure holistic care and patient satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation in accordance with hospital policies.
- Respond promptly to patient needs and emergency situations, demonstrating calmness and professionalism.
Qualifications
- Current and valid State Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
- CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a hospital or acute care setting is highly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Commitment to HIPAA compliance and patient privacy standards.
