Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist patients with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record patient vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rate.
- Mobility Support: Help patients move, transfer, or walk safely using assistive devices and proper body mechanics.
- Communication: Report patient status changes and concerns to the nursing staff and physicians immediately.
- Hygiene Maintenance: Ensure patient rooms and personal spaces are clean, tidy, and sanitary.
- Record Keeping: Accurately document patient care activities in electronic medical records.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control standards.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Completion of a state-approved CNA training program and certification (CNA license) is highly preferred.
- Experience: No prior work experience required. Must be willing to complete onboarding training.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical tasks.
- Compassion: Genuine empathy and a patient-centered approach to care.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer Skills: Basic computer literacy for electronic charting.
- Valid Driver's License: (Optional, depending on transport duties).
