Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Vital Signs: Accurately monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Hygiene & Comfort: Ensure patient rooms are clean and tidy; provide emotional support and companionship to patients and families.
- Medication Assistance: Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the RN or physician, following strict protocols.
- Communication: Report any changes in a patient's condition or behavior to the nursing supervisor immediately.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and flow sheets.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of Oklahoma.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, push, and pull patients; ability to stand for long periods.
