Responsibilities
- Provide basic patient care including bathing, dressing, and grooming under the supervision of registered nurses.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including walking and transferring from beds to wheelchairs.
- Prepare and serve meals to patients, ensuring dietary restrictions are respected.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Communicate changes in patient condition to the nursing staff and charge nurse immediately.
- Document daily care activities and patient interactions accurately in electronic health records.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Current state Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented nature.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift patients (up to 50 lbs).
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
