Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, and report any abnormalities to the nursing staff.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and the use of walkers or wheelchairs to ensure their safety and comfort.
- Prepare meals and feed patients according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Change linens and maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment for patients.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Document patient care activities and updates in accordance with facility policies.
Qualifications
- Current and active Georgia CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) license required.
- CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain) is strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate demeanor.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks, including lifting and assisting patients.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
