Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance, in accordance with individual care plans.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
  • Assist patients with mobility issues, including transferring from bed to wheelchair and ambulation support.
  • Administer medications and treatments under the direct supervision of registered nurses (RN) or licensed practical nurses (LPN).
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary patient environment.
  • Document patient care activities accurately and timely in electronic health records (EHR).

Qualifications

  • Current, active Wisconsin State CNA License (or eligibility to obtain).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Previous experience as a CNA in a hospital or long-term care facility preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of infection control procedures and patient safety standards.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift and move patients as needed.
