Responsibilities
- Monitor Patient Status: Continuously observe and report any changes in patient health, behavior, or physical condition to the charge nurse immediately.
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Provide compassionate support with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance to ensure patient dignity and comfort.
- Clinical Care: Accurately measure and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, as per facility protocols.
- Medication Management: Assist patients with medication administration under the direct supervision of a registered nurse, ensuring all documentation is updated.
- Environment Maintenance: Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized environment for patients and staff, adhering to infection control standards.
- Communication: Act as a vital link between patients, families, and the healthcare team, providing updates and emotional support.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current, valid Maryland State Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license and registration.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
- Training: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association is required.
- Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical assistance tasks.
- Compliance: Must pass a background check and drug screening as part of our strict hiring process.
