Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming with dignity and respect.
- Vital Monitoring: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed and up-to-date patient records and charts in accordance with facility protocols.
- Environment Maintenance: Ensure patient rooms and common areas are clean, safe, and sanitized at all times.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with the nursing team, physicians, and families regarding patient status and needs.
- Assistance: Transport patients to and from procedures, appointments, or other locations as needed.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current, unencumbered CNA license issued by the state of Texas.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Nursing Assistant diploma preferred.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and CPR certification are mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and the ability to work well under pressure.
