Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, endodontic, and surgical treatments
- Perform dental radiography (X-rays) and ensure proper radiation safety protocols
- Manage infection control through sterilization and instrument processing
- Prepare treatment rooms, materials, and equipment for patient procedures
- Take accurate dental impressions and fabricate temporary crowns
- Document patient care using Eaglesoft practice management software
- Provide post-operative instructions and patient education
- Coordinate with front office staff for seamless patient flow
Qualifications
- Active California Dental Assistant (RDA) license or DANB certification
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and intraoral cameras
- Knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA compliance standards
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Experience with dental anesthesia administration (nitrous oxide preferred)
- Strong communication skills in English and Spanish (bilingual a plus)
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
