Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, surgical, and orthodontic treatments
- Take and develop diagnostic dental X-rays with precision and care
- Manage patient flow and ensure sterile operatory environments
- Perform infection control protocols and instrument sterilization
- Prepare treatment rooms, materials, and equipment efficiently
- Deliver exceptional patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Maintain accurate digital patient records and inventory systems
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification (DAEFCC or DANB preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography (XDR) and practice management software
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and dental board regulations
- Exceptional chairside manner and communication skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environments
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Valid California dental radiography license
