Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures, including exams, fillings, and extractions.
- Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for patient procedures.
- Take and develop dental x-rays (radiographs) and other diagnostic images as directed by the dentist.
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
- Maintain strict sterilization and infection control protocols to ensure patient safety.
- Manage patient records and update dental charts accurately.
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant license (RDA) or DA certification in the state of Texas.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Previous experience in a dental office setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Proficiency with dental software and radiology equipment is a plus.
