Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, orthodontic, and surgical treatments
- Perform chairside duties: instrument transfer, suction management, and patient comfort
- Take and develop accurate dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Manage infection control protocols and sterilization procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms and equipment for optimal efficiency
- Coordinate patient scheduling and recall systems
- Maintain detailed digital dental records using Dentrix/Eaglesoft software
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification (DANB or state equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Proficiency in dental radiography and digital imaging
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and dental sterilization protocols
- Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with digital practice management systems
