Responsibilities
- Verify prescriptions for accuracy and completeness, checking for drug interactions and allergies.
- Prepare and package medications, ensuring proper labeling and dosage instructions are clear.
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving, stocking, and ordering pharmaceutical supplies.
- Assist patients with medication questions and provide basic health education under pharmacist supervision.
- Process insurance claims and handle payment transactions accurately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment in compliance with all state and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with the pharmacy team to ensure efficient workflow and patient service.
Qualifications
- Current Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT) or eligibility to obtain certification.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of pharmacy software systems and medical terminology.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods.
