Responsibilities
- Prepare and sterilize advanced surgical equipment for complex procedures
- Assist in 15+ specialized surgeries weekly (orthopedic, neuro, cardiac)
- Maintain strict sterile field protocols in hybrid OR suites
- Coordinate instrument management with robotic surgery systems
- Train junior techs on new surgical technologies
- Participate in OR efficiency improvement initiatives
- Ensure HIPAA compliance for all patient documentation
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with 5+ years OR experience
- Advanced certifications in robotics or specialty surgery
- Proven expertise in minimally invasive procedures
- Ability to work in high-pressure trauma cases
- Strong knowledge of AORN standards and regulations
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand 8+ hours daily
