Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs, and document medical histories
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures and maintain examination rooms
- Administer injections, perform EKGs, and collect laboratory specimens
- Schedule appointments, manage patient records, and handle insurance verification
- Maintain sterile environments and adhere to OSHA/HIPAA protocols
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Current California Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in a medical practice
- BLS/CPR certification and phlebotomy skills required
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic experience preferred)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred
