Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient intake, including vitals, weight, and medical history collection.
- Assist physicians and providers during examinations and procedures.
- Prepare patients for examinations and ensure comfort and privacy.
- Administer injections, immunizations, and medications as directed by a provider.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) accurately and confidentially.
- Coordinate with laboratory services and pharmacy for test orders and prescriptions.
- Adhere to strict infection control and safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a clinical or outpatient setting preferred.
- Ability to work night shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a busy environment.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
