Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations by assisting with history taking, vitals, and physical assessments.
- Perform routine laboratory tests and specimen collection in accordance with established protocols.
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during exams and procedures.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) accurately and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Instruct patients on medication administration and post-procedure care instructions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized clinical environment.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Current CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) certification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical setting.
- CPR/BLS certification required.
