Responsibilities
- Process and submit clean claims to insurance companies with 95%+ accuracy
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits prior to service delivery
- Resolve claim denials and appeals within 30-day SLA
- Conduct regular audits of billing codes (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS)
- Collaborate with clinical teams to document chargeable services
- Generate monthly revenue cycle performance reports
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and CMS regulations
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in acute care settings
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) credential required
- Expertise in Epic EMR and ClearClaim billing platforms
- Advanced knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid billing guidelines
- Proven track record of reducing AR days below 45
- Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management preferred
- Spanish bilingual proficiency a significant plus
