Key Responsibilities:
- Review and code medical records accurately using ICD-10 and CPT coding guidelines.
- Submit clean claims to insurance payers and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and communicate coverage details.
- Manage and resolve patient billing inquiries and account discrepancies.
- Prepare monthly reports and maintain accurate billing records.
Qualifications:
- Certification (CPC, CMC, RHIT, or RHIA) preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in medical billing and coding.
- Proficiency with EHR/EMR systems (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth, Cerner).
- Strong knowledge of CMS-1500 and UB-04 forms.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
