Responsibilities
- Perform accurate venipuncture, capillary draws, and specimen collection
- Ensure proper handling, labeling, and processing of blood samples
- Maintain sterile techniques and adhere to OSHA/HIPAA protocols
- Provide compassionate patient care during procedures
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment
- Document patient information and test results electronically
- Collaborate with healthcare teams for seamless patient flow
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy certification (ASCP, NHA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience
- Valid CPR certification
- Proficiency in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends
