Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, monitoring vital signs, and reporting significant changes to physicians and charge nurses immediately.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with hospital protocols, pharmacy guidelines, and state regulations.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to patient needs.
- Educate patients and their families on post-discharge care instructions, medication management, and health maintenance.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Assist in emergency response scenarios and maintain a calm, professional demeanor during high-pressure situations.
- Perform admission, transfer, and discharge procedures in a timely and efficient manner.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing program (Associate Degree in Nursing - ADN or Bachelor of Science in Nursing - BSN).
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of California Board of Nursing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a demonstrated patient-first attitude.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume hospital environment.
- Demonstrated ability to handle critical situations with composure, efficiency, and compassion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Electronic Health Records (EHR) software.
