Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient assessment, monitoring, and intervention during overnight hours
- Administer medications and treatments with precision while maintaining accurate documentation
- Coordinate care plans with interdisciplinary teams and communicate critical changes effectively
- Maintain sterile environments and adhere to all infection control protocols
- Educate patients and families on health management and discharge planning
- Respond swiftly to emergency situations with calm professionalism
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (or compact state eligibility)
- BSN degree preferred; ADN with relevant experience considered
- Minimum 2 years acute care experience in ICU/ER/Stepdown unit
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Demonstrated proficiency in electronic health records (EPIC preferred)
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication skills with multilingual abilities a plus
