Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies accurately and in strict accordance with hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and clinical status continuously, reporting any changes or deteriorations immediately.
- Document patient care activities, interventions, and responses to treatment in the electronic medical record.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary staff to ensure continuity of care.
- Educate patients and families on disease processes, medications, and post-discharge care instructions.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Oregon State Board of Nursing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of recent acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and lift patients up to 50 lbs as needed.
