Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough symptom assessments via phone or secure video platforms to determine appropriate course of action.
- Differentiate between urgent, emergent, and non-urgent conditions to triage patients effectively.
- Document all patient interactions and medical histories accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Coordinate patient referrals to appropriate specialists, urgent care centers, or emergency departments when necessary.
- Provide patient education and medication management guidance based on clinical protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians and advanced practice providers to ensure continuity of care.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to de-escalate tense situations and explain complex medical concepts to laypeople.
- Previous experience in triage, emergency room, or urgent care is a plus, but candidates with strong clinical judgment are encouraged to apply.
- Must be comfortable working in a remote or hybrid setting.
