Responsibilities
- OR Preparation: Ensure the operating room is sterile and properly equipped for surgical procedures.
- Assistance: Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons during operations with speed and accuracy.
- Patient Care: Monitor patient vitals and comfort levels throughout the surgical process.
- Instrument Care: Sort, count, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment post-procedure.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate medical records and log surgical counts and times.
- Hygiene: Adhere strictly to all safety and infection control protocols.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current Certification as a Surgical Technician (CST) required.
- Licensure: BLS and ACLS certifications must be up to date.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a hospital or ambulatory surgery center setting.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail and exceptional teamwork abilities.
- Physical: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift equipment as needed.
