Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments via phone or video to determine appropriate level of care.
- Evaluate symptoms and provide medical advice, referrals, or instructions for self-care.
- Document all triage interactions accurately and promptly in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and care coordinators to ensure continuity of care.
- Handle high-volume patient inquiries with empathy, professionalism, and clinical accuracy.
- Identify urgent medical emergencies and facilitate rapid dispatch of emergency services when necessary.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in a triage or telehealth setting.
- Certification in BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) is required.
- Strong computer proficiency with EMR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound clinical decisions quickly.
