Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments to determine the severity of illness and appropriate level of care.
- Utilize triage protocols to prioritize patient flow and manage emergency department queues effectively.
- Document patient symptoms, medical history, and triage decisions accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals regarding patient status.
- Provide education and support to patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions.
- Maintain strict adherence to hospital protocols, HIPAA regulations, and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Georgia.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in emergency room or triage nursing.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.
