Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and prioritize medical urgency using standardized protocols
- Provide telehealth consultations and in-person triage services
- Coordinate care between emergency departments, specialists, and primary care
- Document patient encounters accurately in Epic EHR system
- Train on advanced triage technologies including AI-assisted decision support
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and emergency department regulations
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active Michigan RN license
- 1+ years clinical experience (ER/urgent care preferred)
- Valid BLS certification
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights/weekends
- Basic EHR proficiency (training provided)
- Passion for patient education and crisis management
