Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and mobility, under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.
- Monitor Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record patient health metrics such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Communication: Serve as a liaison between patients, families, and the healthcare team, reporting any changes in patient condition immediately.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and patient logs in compliance with facility standards.
- Environment Safety: Ensure patient rooms and common areas are clean, safe, and organized to prevent infections and accidents.
- Meal Assistance: Assist patients with feeding and monitor dietary restrictions and fluid intake.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and active CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) or LPN license (valid in Kentucky or Ohio).
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited CNA or Nursing Assistant program preferred.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 6 months of experience in a clinical or long-term care setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift patients regularly throughout the shift.
