Responsibilities
- Conduct rapid patient assessments using triage protocols to determine urgency of care
- Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to develop effective care plans
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Provide clear communication to patients and families regarding treatment timelines
- Monitor vital signs and identify changes in patient condition requiring escalation
- Coordinate with ancillary departments for seamless patient flow
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Current California RN license with unrestricted active status
- Minimum 2 years emergency department or urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Proficient in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong communication skills with diverse populations
- Ability to remain calm under pressure during high-volume situations
- BSN or higher preferred
